Hopleaf Smooth 'N' Creamy is the official sponsor of the Barracudas Rugby Union Football Club. Set up in 1946 as Overseas RUFC, primarily for members of the British Services then stationed in Malta, who couldn't get a game of "rugger" with their unit, or their units were too small to field a side.

This season ORUFC are participating in the Malta Rugby Football Union League and Cup as Hopleaf Barracudas, reflecting the support of Hopleaf and the need to encourage more Maltese players into rugby, without using the 'Overseas' tag. However the Club will still retain the name, on behalf of the great people who have partaken in forming this sport on the Maltese Islands.

An after-party will be held after each match at the Club's homebar, Ryan's Irish Pub in St. Julian's. A Hopleaf Barracudas kit bag will be raffled at each after-party to raise funds for the Club. Twelve kit bags in total will be raffled. The Club is also organizing other social activities this year such as a Valentine's Party, a Carnival Party and St. Patrick's Night.
